Reykjavík – Getting to know the city

Let’s get to know Reykjavík together. We’ll visit some of Reykjavík’s most iconic sights, taking in the city as we go. The tour can be a half-day or a full day (up to 8 hours). The tour is made to fit every person/group so every tour is different, but we might visit:

Harpa concert hall. Beautifully put together, this is one of Reykjavík’s more interesting buildings today.

Arnarhóll, where the statue of Iceland’s main settler stands.

Laugavegur, our main shopping street. Lots of unique Icelandic stores, lots of great food.

Hallgrímskirkja church, drawing inspiration from the basalt rock columns found in lava fields close to Iceland’s shorline. Here stands the statue of Leifur Eiríksson who traveled to North America around 1000 years ago.

The Pond. We ice skate and play here in winter. Our town hall stands on the water.

Alþingi, our house of parliament.

We recommend ending the tour in one of the capital areas 18 outdoor swimming pools or a visit to the beautiful Sky Lagoon.
