Snæfellsnes Peninsula

Snæfellsnes peninsula has it all, a best of Iceland in essence. This peninsula located in the west of Iceland has amazing birdlife during spring and summer.

On this tour we visit the Gerðuberg basalt column cliff. We visit the picturesque villages of Hellnar and Arnarstapi as well as the very beautiful Búðir. There is an optional short caving expedition at Vatnshellir available. We visit the black beach of Djúpalónssandur and the Lónsdrangar cliffs, ruggedly beautiful like most of the peninsula. We stop by Iceland’s most photographed mountain (you’ll see why). We might stop at a shark museum and taste some shark, if you dare!

On this tour you’ll have the opportunity to bathe in a small natural hot spring (summer only). As there are no changing rooms there, this is completely optional of course. Either let us know if this is something for you, or leave it up to chance 🙂
