Reykjanes peninsula

Reykjanes is a hostile and inhospitable but undeniably stunning place. Glowing lava fields, torquise waters of the Blue Lagoon, boiling mud, grey moss stretching on forever and a coastline where lava meets ocean. There are so many things to see and do.

We might visit the natural wonder that is the Blue Lagoon, Krýsuvík geothermal area, Kleifarvatn lake, lava fields, perhaps some local lobster bisque for lunch and for those looking for longer walks the new lava fields at Geldingardalur volcano.

The walk to Geldingardalur volcano is long and over some rough terrain. The hike takes around 1-1.5 hours in each direction (2-3 hours total).

This walk is not suitable for:

  • Children under 12 years
  • Pregnant women
  • People with mobility impairments
  • People with respiratory issues

This tour is 150.000 isk (one tour, one car, 4 passengers max)

With the Geldingardalur volcano hike: 160.000 isk (one tour, one car, 4 passengers max)
